Enter your potted plants and hanging baskets for judging at the 2023 Mississippi State Fair

  • Entries are open to all residents of Mississippi.

NEW Location!!!  Mississippi Farmer’s Market, 929 High Street, Jackson, MS

Host:  The Gardeners of Jackson

All plants must be entered on October 4 (Wednesday) at the Mississippi Farmer’s Market

Time:  Noon – 7 pm

Plants will be judged, and ribbons awarded on Thursday, October 5.

Plants will remain on display in the Mississippi Farmer’s Market until Friday, October 13, where they must be picked up by Noon.

Stroll through time as you examine cars and trucks of the past.

Pick your favorite – and cast your vote for the Best of Show!

Votes are $1. All proceeds are donated to the Blair E. Batson Hospital for Children in Jackson.

Food Preservation Show 2023
Mississippi Trade Mart Trade Hall C

Enter your food preservation projects for judging at the Mississippi State Fair!

Preserved fruit, vegetables, preserves, jams, jellies, pickles, and relishes.

Open to all MS residents.

Individuals may enter up to 25 jars.

Money prizes and ribbons awarded.

All items must have been canned since the 2022 State Fair.

All entries must be brought to the Mississippi Trade Mart on Friday, September 29 between the hours of 9 am – 5 pm

All items must remain on exhibit throughout the Fair. 

Items may be picked up on Monday, October 16 from 9 am – 1pm.

Only clear glass standard canning jars with two-piece lids may be used.

Arts & Crafts Show 2023

Enter your arts and crafts projects for judging at the Mississippi State Fair!

Quilts (hand and machine quilted), crochet, knitting, tatting, thread count, hand needlework and embroidery, machine needlework and embroidery, needlepoint, crewel and embroidery, creations using leather, cloth or string, earthenware, glass and beadwork, from the forest, wood, vines, straw, gourds or paper, metal art, precious metals and framed art.

Open to all MS residents-adult and youth divisions.

Money prizes and ribbons awarded.

All items must be original and made in 2022 and 2023.

All entries must be brought to the Mississippi Trade Mart on Friday, September 29 between the hours of 9 am – 5 pm

All items must remain on exhibit throughout the Fair. 

Items may be picked up on Monday, October 16 from 9 am – 1pm.
